Mirai

Solar panel cleaning robot

Type 2 / For ground-mounted mega-solar

Type 2 is large but portable in size and weight, so no initial construction work such as laying rails is required. Its greatest strength is its ability to traverse uneven terrain. It can overcome bumps and gaps even when the solar panels are installed on uneven terrain, and can continue to drive while controlling its own posture.

For the cleaning of a huge number of solar panels

As the number of large-scale solar power plants in Middle Eastern countries and India increases, the emphasis has shifted to cleaning them more efficiently. The Type 2 was developed to clean vast numbers of solar panels more efficiently.

Overcoming steps and gaps

The system uses sensing and autonomous control technology to overcome bumps and gaps between panels. Even if the panels are installed on uneven terrain, they continue to run smoothly without falling.

Unparalleled cleaning speed

Cleans at a rate of more than 2,160 m² (approx. 400 kW) per hour. Demonstrations at an Indian power plant restored power generation efficiency of dirty panels to 99%.

No initial installation costs required

Unlike installed cleaning systems, no initial installation work is required. Total initial costs are reduced and the system can be easily introduced.

Specialised in desert environments

Uses dry cleaning with brushes. The cleaning process does not use any water, a precious resource in the desert.
