Layout Marking Robot
Performs automatic and accurate marking work based on design drawings.
Digital Transformation (DX) solves the challenges of the construction industry
The construction industry is facing the challenges of ageing skilled workers and labour shortages, and there is a need to standardise and streamline work through DXing of the construction process.
The Layout Making Robot was developed to automate the marking process in the building construction process.
What is marking out?
This is the process of reflecting (drawing) information such as reference lines on drawings and lines, shapes and letters necessary for the progress of construction work on the floors and walls of the building site during the building process. This marking work is carried out by pairs of workers using surveying instruments, and requires experience and skill in correctly reading the drawing information and accurately handling the surveying instruments to ensure correct and accurate drawing.
What is a Layout Marking Robot?
The robot automatically marks out the floor surface in cooperation with the surveyor when the drawing information for the marking out work is input. The robot is a 2D plotter that runs around, and can operate continuously for more than six hours, drawing with the same level of accuracy as a skilled marker through constant wireless communication with the surveyor. It is also possible to complete the marking for the next day's construction work during the night when no-one is around.
Touch-screen/remote easy configuration
Settings can be entered via the upper touchscreen or from a PC, tablet or smartphone connected via wireless communication.
